Gerald B. Ansley, Jerry, was born and raised in the military, and he and his family lived in many different locations during his youth. Jerry was in the US Army 101st Airborne Division, known as the Screaming Eagles. He served proudly in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. Jerry says, “It was my pleasure to serve my country, and I would gladly do so again because freedom is not free."

After Jerry's tour of duty in Vietnam, he owned and operated Sound Creations in Largo, FL. Sound Creations catered to the Hi-Fidelity Audio/Video market with equipment, installation and sales. Jerry then joined forces with his brother, Micah, and together they spent the better part of two decades developing AAMP of America, a leader in mobile electronics. Jerry started as a buyer and worked his way up to the Director of Purchasing. He also built and directed all of the AAMP trade shows.

Jerry is an avid biker, enjoys hiking and climbing, and uses a home gym 5 days a week. Jerry retired to the mountains of North Carolina, but soon found the call of working with his brother Micah again, and together they opened American Garage.
